OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 23, 2022) – The 105th Oklahoma City Auto Show will feature a variety of new exhibits that includes the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile, the Farmtruck from Discovery Channel’s “Street Outlaws,” the OKC debut of the all-electric 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, and the addition of an indoor ride-along featuring several new autos.
The 105th anniversary of the Oklahoma City International Auto Show is being held March 4-6 at Oklahoma State Fair Park in the Bennett Event Center.
“We anticipate a great event for the 105th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Auto Show,” Oklahoma City Auto Show Chairman Rob Smith said. “Starting off with fifteen brands on exhibit and the all-new indoor ride-along, we anticipate there will also be a lot of excitement to see the Farmtruck and the instantly recognizable Oscar Meyer Wienermobile. There should be something for everyone at this year’s OKC Auto Show.”
The indoor ride-along will be available throughout the show and will include electric- and gas-powered autos such as the Black Widow F-150, Ford Bronco, Ford F-150, Ford Mach-E EV, Ford Ranger, Genesis G70, Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV, KIA Niro EV, and Volkswagen ID.4 EV.
Also making an OKC Auto Show debut will be the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile, a 27-foot-long hot dog on wheels; the all-electric 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning; and the 1970 C-10 Chevy Pickup Truck known as the Farmtruck. Attendees can meet the Discovery Channel’s “Street Outlaws: Farmtruck and AZN” show’s stars in person on Saturday, March 5, from 10 am to 2 pm.
“It should be truly exciting for our guests to experience such a wide variety of new features at this year’s OKC Auto Show,” Peter Hodges, president of the Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association, said. “We have added some interactive experiences for visitors to this year’s show while continuing to feature many of the popular exhibits that have been a part of the show for several years.”
The Oklahoma City Auto Show is one of the largest consumer shows in Oklahoma and will feature a variety of entertaining activities for adults and kids. The 105th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Auto Show will spotlight the indoor ride-alongs; the Discovery Channel’s Farmtruck and AZN; the Oklahoma City debut of the Ford F-150 Lightning; the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile; dozens of automobiles from the Oklahoma Hot Rod Association; the 18-Hole Mini-Golf Course Experience with proceeds benefiting the Hugs Project; exotic cars; a “Coffee and Cars” event; pet adoptions from Subaru Loves Pets, Second Chance Animal Sanctuary and Safe Haven Animal Rescue; outdoor test drives from Chevy and Toyota; custom vehicles like Roush, Black Widow, SCA, RMT and Tuscany from Metro Ford Customs; the Landrunners OKC Auto Show 5K and Kids Run; a Rare Rides exhibit; and lots and lots of 2022 new cars and trucks from 15 automobile brands.
The Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association was formed on May 4, 1916 as the Oklahoma City Motor Car Dealers’ Association, and the first OKC Auto Show was held January 23-26, 1917.
