OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 23, 2017) – For those who love cars and enjoy their caffeine, there will be plenty of both during the “Coffee and Cars” event being held as part of the 100th anniversary of the Oklahoma City International Auto Show.

The “Coffee and Cars OKC” event will be held Saturday, March 11th, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at new Bennett Event Center at the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

The event, which is a special gathering of a group that meets the first Saturday of each month at Northpark Mall, features cars from all makes and models, from classics to exotics and almost everything in between. The general public is encouraged to attend the free “Coffee and Cars OKC” event to show off their own vehicle or to enjoy seeing the gallery of cars already at the lot outside the Bennett Event Center.

“As a young organization, in our sixth year, Coffee and Cars OKC is proud to partner with such a staple event of the city like the OKC Auto Show in its 100th year,” John Terrill, organizer of the “Coffee and Cars OKC” group, said. “We hope to continue this relationship, embracing Oklahoma’s rich automotive heritage.”

The 100th anniversary of the Oklahoma City International Auto Show is being held March 10-12 at Oklahoma State Fair Park in the new Bennett Event Center. The OKC Auto Show is one of the largest consumer shows in Oklahoma and will feature a variety of entertaining activities for adults and kids of all ages. In addition to the “Coffee and Cars” experience, the 100th anniversary event will include a re-creation of the event from a century ago with 44 one hundred-year-old and vintage cars; the Auto Show 5K race; the opportunity to test drive 24 cars and trucks from FCA, Toyota and Chevrolet; the Hall of Fame NASCAR exhibit; exotic cars; an 18-hole mini golf course; a charitable Gala benefiting 10 Strong who helps improve the lives of children with cancer; and lots and lots of 2017 new cars and trucks from 27 automobile brands.

“We are extremely excited about this year’s event, and are so grateful for the organizers of ‘Coffee and Cars OKC’ for incorporating their monthly gathering into the Oklahoma City International Auto Show,” Peter Hodges, president of the Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association, said. “We know how much people enjoy seeing the wide range of cars and we are proud to have them affiliated with our show.”

The Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association was formed on May 4, 1916 as the Oklahoma City Motor Car Dealers’ Association, and the first OKC Auto Show was held January 23-26, 1917.

This year’s Oklahoma City Auto Show will be one of the first major consumer shows to take place in the new, state of-the-art Bennett Event Center at State Fair Park. Attendees will have the experience of enjoying the show under one roof with immediate access to all of the exhibits and events.
