OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 5, 2017) – A new feature with a familiar look will be added to the mix at this year’s Oklahoma State Fair for those visiting the auto show display in the Bennett Event Center.

The 18-Hole Mini-Golf Course Experience, which has become a regular feature for those who have attended the annual OKC Auto Show in the spring, will make its first appearance at the auto show display during the Oklahoma State Fair. The Oklahoma State Fair runs from Sept. 14th through the 24th. The auto show opens each day at 10 a.m.

The mini golf course is $5 per person with each ticket entering participants into a drawing for an iPhone 8, which has an estimated value of over $1,000.

“We know everyone looks forward to the games and entertainment as part of the Oklahoma State Fair experience,” Laine Diffee, chairman of the Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association, said. “The 18-Hole Mini-Golf Course Experience has been very popular with those who have attended our annual OKC Auto Show, and we anticipate the fun continuing for those who are checking out the new vehicle models at this year’s Oklahoma State Fair.”

In addition to the 18-hole Mini-Golf Course, this year’s auto show will include six automakers, an old dealership, and historic ads. Visitors to the auto show will also get a sneak peek at some of today’s latest models from Ford, Honda, Chevy, Toyota, Nissan and Hyundai displayed in the expansive Bennett Event Center.

“With the 18-Hole Mini-Golf Course growing in popularity, it made sense for us to bring it to our visitors at the Oklahoma State Fair,” MADA president Peter Hodges said. “We are also excited about the opportunity to have one of our participants win the latest iPhone while checking out the latest vehicle models and playing some mini golf.”

Tickets for the 2017 Oklahoma State Fair are available now at the State Fair Park Box Office, online or by calling 405.948.6800. A convenience charge may apply.

The Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association was formed on May 4, 1916 as the Oklahoma City Motor Car Dealers’ Association. The earliest display of automobiles was first featured at the Oklahoma State Fair in 1909, and by 1916 the auto show had become a major event at the Oklahoma State Fair. The Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association is a non-profit organization that exists to serve and promote the franchised new motor vehicle dealers of metro Oklahoma City and is the producer of the annual OKC Auto Show and Tulsa Auto Show held in the spring.
